WARWICK 25th ANNIVERSERY CELEBRATIONS


Today, Warwick is one of the most recognized and respected companies in the music industry. Nobody believed in 1982 that the then-just-founded company would become a leading manufacturer of bass guitars, bass amplifiers and bass strings. Fast forward 25 years and greats of the international music scene today swear by the by the unmistakable "Sound of Wood".

To celebrate being in the music business 25 years, a massive Bass Festival will be taking place in Australia throughout July, with workshops, a Bass Expo and a concert taking place . These events are not just for fans of Warwick but for lovers of bass in Australia who are often starved of such events.

Singer, songwriter and bass playing sensation Seth Horan (Also Warwick's clinician) will conduct bass workshops in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane and Melbourne. These events will feature a small performance from Seth as well as a workshop on bass technique and other aspects of the bass guitar. They are provided free of charge by Dominant Music & Warwick but booking is essential.

The Warwick Bass expo will be held in Melbourne on July 7 featuring the biggest display of Warwick Basses ever seen! On display will be over 70 basses with new models and limited editions never seen in Australia. A complete historical timeline of Warwick will be on display including the first basses ever produced!

There will also be the amp range featured, product demos and workshops on the hour from Seth Horan and Davarj (Pre Shrunk), expert advice on hand, a discount counter for bass accessories on sale and the bar will be open all day.

The 25th anniversary concert is the first Bass Concert to be held in Australia. Celebrating the art of bass playing this will be an event to be remembered. The concert features a balanced blend of artists from all styles of bass playing to offer something for everyone. Performing will be Swedish Jazz Legend Jonas Hellborg, Singer songwriter bass playing extraordinaire Seth Horan direct from the USA , Bass-ic Instinct (Featuring Roger Maclachlan, Evripedies Evripidou and Craig Newman on bass), Pre Shrunk's bass maestros Dave and Davarj performing in their new direction showing what the bass can do in the electronic and digital realm. More big names about to be announced so stay tuned.

Also in attendance will be the Warwick founder & director Hans Peter Wilfer.

The concert doors open 5.30pm with product display and music in the foyer provided by Luke McD on decks and Davrarj on the bass live as well as an open bar! Tix - $18 + booking fee, limited available so be fast.
